Friday excursion

An 11 PLN entrance ticket is required for Tatra National Park for each route. Tickets can be purchased online through the official TPN ticket service.

There are two possible route choices:

1. Siwa Polana - Kiry

Length: 14.6 km
Ascent: 654 m
Walking time: 5:30-6:00

We need to pay for travel to Siwa Polana and from Kiry, approximately 20 PLN in total. There should be a bus at 8:50 from the bus stop at WDW, but if we could start earlier it would be better. We can try to hire a bus from Rewita.

This excursion can be extended through Starorobociańska Valley and Ornak (additional 6 km, 500 m ascent and 2:30 walking time), or through Kończysty Wierch (additional 9 km, 1000 m ascent and 4:30 walking time).

2. Kiry

Length: 7.4 km
Ascent: 355 m
Walking time: 2:30-3:00

We need to pay for a bus from Kiry, approximately 10 PLN.

It is possible to return to the conference venue on foot via this route (additional 4.6 km, 1:30 walking time and 180 m ascent).

From Cudakowa Polana, where we enter the main path in Kościeliska Valley, the excursion can be extended as far into the valley as appropriate. For example, see this extended route. The distance from Cudakowa Polana to the mountain hut at the end of the valley and back is 9.3 km and takes around 2:30.
